If it weren’t for people telling me I was messing up, I never would have gotten better.
I would have wallowed in my addictions, unconsciously.
I would have accepted that life is suffering.
The spark of hope and vision of a better life is ignited by those with the bravery to admonish.
But they can only admonish if they themselves know better.
Eventually, they likely won’t.
This is why, if you’re wise, you’ll read.
Sure, ignorance can be bliss; though there’s an immense sweetness to a life intentionally well-lived. And the only way you’ll figure it out, grow, and make choices that result in long-term happiness is if you seek out perspective.
